New cards for the shop

I Designed some new business cards last week for the shop. I think they turned out quite nice!
They were printed by Moo, which I'm sure all of you artists and photographers out there already know about. I really want to see what the quality of their Postcards are like.

Layaway plans now available in the shop!

Just a quick update on something I forgot to mention in my last post. I am now offering layaway plans in my shop for orders totaling over $200. Here's how it works, 50% of the total is due at the time of purchase and the remaining 50% of the payment will then be due within 30 days of purchase. If you're interested in doing a layaway plan on your order, please contact me with your order first, do not checkout through the shop. I'll then create a custom listing for you and you'll be all set!
All layaway orders ship once the payment as been paid in full.

Lior and Robyn have both been added to The Hidden House of Ofelia and are available for purchase. These coffee illustrations are fun little pieces to work on when time is limited. Also I just setup a mailing list for the shop through the awesome service MailChimp (I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easier way to setup and organize newsletters and general email marketing).
Therefor, for anyone who wants to be notified by email of important shop updates and upcoming art shows, go ahead and join the mailing list by entering your email address in the little mailing list form in the left side bar panel.

Last but not least, I will be participating in an art show coming up in March, in New York City, more details on that to come. I hope everyone is enjoying and getting off to a good start for the new year!

New mixed media drawings, all part of a small series based on Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). All three of these drawings are now available in my new Etsy shop The Hidden House of Ofelia.

I had do a name change with the shop do to a few issues I was running into with the Lost Butterflies name. Therefor the banner on this blog will be changing soon as well. However go ahead and stop on by, and favorite the shop too if you're an Etsy buyer or seller.

Sakura Print Available

The 'Sakura' prints are now up for sale in my website shop as well as my Etsy shop. The framed version of the print is framed in a really lovely black/cherry wood frame and is protected by UV coated glass.

I'll be busy tonight and probably tomorrow putting the finishing touches on my "day of the dead" themed painting. Here's a quick peek at what I'll be working on once that is done...

I actually started on this piece late last year, started painting it, and it didn't turn out to my liking so I decided to start over completely a few months ago. I drew the whole thing over again and it's just been sitting around ever since, I'm hoping to start painting this piece this weekend. I'll be doing a video on it as well, since I know I haven't made any time lapse videos in awhile.

The shop is back

Just a quick update to say that my website shop is up and running again finally. Check it out here! I'll post more later, I have a possible show coming up next month, so details on that to come once it's official.

Shop Update and Randomness

Just a quick post to say I updated my website shop as well as my Etsy shop today with the 4"x6" prints as well as the two 3.5" pocket mirrors above. There are still two more prints waiting to be added, the photos didn't come out quite as well as I'd like, so I'll have to try photographing them again tomorrow.

 

I also pulled out this piece that I sketched months ago and have probably shown quite a few times already. My attention keeps being drawn back to it over and over again so I think I'm going to start painting this one this weekend. I had been working on the large 24"x18" piece that I've talked about a few times but I'm really not getting anywhere with it. The inspiration just isn't there at the moment. So I'm thinking it'll be best to just step away from it for awhile and come back to it later on.

So this week plans are to start working on the drawing-soon-to-be-painting above and a few sculpture pieces, as well as attempt to get a bit more organized. I feel a little all over the place at the moment, too many ideas and projects waiting to get started and not much is really getting done. I also have one more time lapse video that I need to edit and upload to youtube, I had completely forgotten about it until tonight.
